Trueline is seeking an Automation Assembly Technician to join their team in a dynamic production environment. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development and construction of cutting-edge automation systems.
What You'll Do as the Automation Assembly Technician:
- Perform mechanical and electrical assembly of custom automation projects
- Interpret and work from mechanical and electrical blueprints
- Collaborate with engineering and purchasing teams to maintain accurate Bill of Materials (BOMs)
- Support Automation Technicians in developing new automation systems
- Assist in the construction of custom assembly automation equipment
- Maintain precise time logging for projects
- Contribute to various tasks that support the company's goals and objectives
Must-Haves as the Automation Assembly Technician:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical school education is preferred
- Proficiency in electrical wiring and crimping, including experience with various wire gauges and cable assemblies
- Skill in operating power tools and hand tools
- Ability to read and interpret production job orders and bills of materials
- Basic troubleshooting skills
- Fundamental understanding of mechanical components, bearings, and pneumatic systems
- Basic knowledge of electrical sensors, PLCs, motor drives, and vision systems
- Team-oriented mindset with the ability to work alongside technicians and engineers
- Familiarity with precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and height gauges
- Willingness to travel for service calls or machine installations when needed
Nice-To-Haves as the Automation Assembly Technician:
- Experience in a manufacturing or production environment
- Advanced knowledge of pneumatic systems and components
- Familiarity with automation industry standards and best practices
- Experience with CAD software or 3D modeling tools
