Trueline is seeking a Field Engineer to join its team in Columbus, Ohio. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to complex construction projects in the energy sector.


What You'll Do as the Field Engineer:

• Collaborate on project planning, value engineering, and schedule development

• Ensure environmental compliance and educate team members on permit requirements

• Interpret designs and resolve drawing conflicts for installation teams

• Provide engineering input for daily logs and track project progress

• Communicate productivity goals to craft supervisors and crews

• Monitor vendor and subcontractor progress to maintain project timelines

• Maintain project documentation, including submittal logs and RFI tracking

• Identify and document scope changes, estimating costs for extra work activities

• Coordinate submittal approvals with owners and engineers


Must-Haves as the Field Engineer:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or construction management

• Strong knowledge of construction methods, equipment, and technologies

• Excellent communication and organizational skills

• Ability to develop solutions for complex technical challenges

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)

• Willingness to travel as needed


Nice-To-Haves as the Field Engineer:

• Familiarity with craft agreements and labor negotiations

• Experience with engineering, estimating, and scheduling in the energy sector

• Knowledge of safety protocols in power and energy construction
